Program: Two speakers: Mark Stern (see bio below) and a representative from the Citizens Advocacy Center in Elmhurst.

Mark Stern is a board member of Educate 200 Foundation, a group of parents and citizens frequently critical of the Wheaton-Warrenville school district. In January 2006, Stern requested, under Illinois' Freedom of Information Act, a copy of the employment contract of the district's superintendent, Dr. Gary Catalani. Candidates' Forum. Candidates in contested races for the 14th Congressional District will appear. Contested candidates for Illinois Senate District 25 and Illinois Representative District 50 will also participate in this forum. This forum is sponsored by the Leagues of Geneva-St. Charles, Batavia, and Elgin in cooperation with the Beacon News, the Daily Herald, and the Kane County Chronicle.

The public is invited to both forums and will have an opportunity to submit questions for the candidates. Each forum will be moderated by a member of the League of Women Voters. The forum will also include a panel of representatives from the media. At the end of the forums, audience members will be invited to meet informally with the candidates. voterservice@lwvgenstc.org
